Department of Educational Studies

The Department of Educational Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) is the only higher education department in Greece that educates philologists with Pedagogical and Teaching Competence integrated into their undergraduate degree, in accordance with Article 32 of Law 5029/2023. This means that graduates of the Department automatically acquire the Certificate of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence (PPTC) upon completion of their degree. Likewise, all postgraduate study programs of the Department award degrees that include integrated Pedagogical and Teaching Competence.
